Mischief

Originally a Theatre-Rites, Sadler’s Wells and Dance Touring Partnership co-production in 2007.

Dancers create mayhem in a thrilling, colourful and unpredictable world where the bottom line is always mischief.

With eight performers including a live on-stage musician and composer Charlie Winston, Mischief mixed up dance moves with visual art, playful clowning, puppetry, music and song. Bursting with energy, creative play and magical silliness, this acclaimed show was created by Director Sue Buckmaster, Choreographer Arthur Pita and Visual Artist Sophia Clist.

Winner of Achievement in Dance – TMA Awards 2008

Mischief toured in 2007, 2009 and 2011 (UK, Barcelona and New York)

Why does children’s theatre have such a bad name? One reason could be that not enough people know the work of Theatre-Rites. Their new touring show is one of the best times I’ve had in a theatre all year.

It should leave you feeling stimulated, rib-tickled, lighter than when you walked in and glad to be alive
