WenZhe Xie is a puppeteer, actor, director, workshop facilitator and theatre maker based in London and Beijing. Trained as a puppeteer at the Central Academy of Drama, China, recently doing an MA course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in Applied Theatre. WenZhe engaged in many theatre productions in China, including original shows for theatre festivals and professional productions. He has done some workshops facilitating in the UK at Emergency Exit Arts and Little Angel Theatre working alongside their artists. Theatre works include; F.Pai Theatre (Little Prince) Macao, Central Academy of Drama Experimental Theatre (Life of Galileo) Beijing, World Theatre Education Alliance (WTEA) International University Drama Festival, Opening Ceremony (Legend) Beijing, Puppet Director, “Casting Song”, Poly Theatre, Poly Performance Season Incubation Project. WenZhe is also a member of Student Jury, Taihu Shadow Puppet International Art Week, Beijing Drama Association and has been supporting UNICEF for 3 years.
