Nina Patel-Grainger

Nina studied Design for Performance at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and graduated in 2010.

A finalist in the 2011 Linbury prize competition, she went on in 2012 to work as in-house design assistant at the RSC.  In 2016 Nina won a BBC bursary to work as a trainee designer at the Bush Theatre in London. In 2017 she designed Nathan Crossan-Smith’s JMK competition entry which was awarded 2nd Prize.

Nina has designed for  theatres including Liverpool Everyman Playhouse, The Vaults and Unity Theatre; and she has worked extensively as an assistant designer for designers such as Christopher Oram, Soutra Gilmore, Mark Thompson, Tim Goodchild, Alice Power, Chiara Stevenson and Rob Howell.
