Charlie studied at Central School of Art and Design and later at Motley Theatre Design School in London, UK. Working in theatre for many years she was asked to sculpt a life size elephant puppet to carry a child actor for Running Wild a Micheal Morpurgo play performed at Regents Park Theatre and has since worked entirely in designing and making puppets for stage and film.
