Away Day

We had an inspiring Away Day with our Board on 26th June, facilitated by Carolyn Boddington. Much to discuss and plan, especially around our 30th anniversary next year.

Cast of Eshu at the Crossroads

We are so delighted to be working with this wonderful cast. Dancers Tanisha Addicott, Natnael Dawit and Alecsander Javier Nilson. Puppeteer Edie Edmundson Eshu at the Crossroads has 3 performers and we have created 3 different versions of cast combinations. We will spend 4 weeks in rehearsals at Bold Theatre, before opening at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival followed closely by Brighton Festival. More dates coming soon.

Journey of a Refugee wins an ETTIE and OFFIE award

How wonderful that Journey of a Refugee won an ETTIE award for Best Theatre for Young Audiences, and was nominated in 4 categories for the OFFIE Awards, winning for Performance. So delighted that this beautiful and important show continues to be recognized.

Puppetry & conversations

It was a pleasure to coordinate a series of Puppetry & ... conversations focusing on different subjects, each hosted by Sue Buckmaster and an expert in their field. These private online conversations covered Puppetry & Women (Aya Nakamura) Puppetry & Dance (Takeshi Matsumoto) Puppetry & Queerness (Anders Duckworth) Puppetry & Climate Activism (Amber Massie-Blomfield) Each 2 hour zoom session had a group of 9 people, including the hosts allowing private space to explore each subject with care.
