Guy Hoare

Guy is a London-based lighting designer working in dance, theatre, and opera since 1998. For Theatre Rites, he has designed Mischief and The Global Playground. Dance work includes collaborations with Mark Bruce Company since 1999, Akram Khan Company, Arthur Pita, and Alexander Whitley, with designs for The Royal Ballet, Sadler’s Wells, and Sydney Dance Company. Theatre credits include Broadway’s Seawall / A Life and productions at the National Theatre, Old Vic, Donmar Warehouse, Royal Court, and Almeida. Opera designs include Carmen (Metropolitan Opera), The Firework-Maker’s Daughter (Royal Opera House), and Jakob Lenz (ENO). He is an Associate Artist at Wilton’s Music Hall.
