Dorothee Hartinger, born in Germany in 1971, completed her acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich.
Her engagements span from Münchner Kammerspiele, the Salzburg Festival, the Schauspiel Frankfurt to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Since 2002 she has been a member of the ensemble at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In 2001 she received the German Theater Critics’ Prize for her Gretchen in Peter Stein’s Faust.
Dorothee Hartinger teaches acting at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna.
