The Incredible Tale of Robot Boy at Schauspielhaus Bochum

We are thrilled to announce our new show – The Incredible Tale of Robot Boy – will be Schauspielhaus Bochum’s family show this Christmas period.

This new production has been developed out of our Animating the Brain project, which was initially funded by the Wellcome Trust and saw us work with schools and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Now, in the most extraordinary high-tech laboratory, a team of the world’s top scientists are attempting the impossible. Their mission is to create a robot with a real brain. Their aim is to push the boundaries of scientific discovery.

They succeed. And Robot Boy is born.

Our incredible tale is brought about by our incredible creative team. Directed by Sue Buckmaster, written by Jimmy Osborne, video design by Dick Straker, design by Joanna Scotcher, composed by Jessica Dannheisser, and puppet created by Stitches and Glue, Robot Boy is in very safe hands.

For children aged 6 plus, The Incredible Tale of Robot Boy is a poetic story about humanity, responsibility and life with dazzling puppetry, interactive film and performance. Premiering on 16 November 2019, join us at the Schauspielhaus Bochum for a journey full of curiosity and wonder.
